Those scales are nice . . . that's going to look sweet!

    What material is the spacer?

The spacer is a scrap piece of bubinga for now. I've just been using it to test fit. I don't know if that's what I'll use in the end or not.

Still don't know what I'm going to do for pins. Any other options besides microfastners and the well honed razor out there?

Yes, there are.... But if I were you I'd wait for the microfasteners for your first attempts.

You can get 1/16 solid brass rod and 3/32 brass tubing at good hardware stores. The Bill Ellis CD shows you how to make those into washers and pins. It can be fun and rewarding, but also frustrating when you just want to get a razor done.

PM me your address and I'll get a few to you.

+1 to that! It's much easier for me than that double-sticky tape stuff.... which leaves a bunch of goo that has to be scraped off.

The tape I used didn't give me any goo problems.

Also, The Well Honed Razor has the regular pins back in stock. Ordered some last night. Fritz was kind enough to send me some washers to get me back on track with this project, but I bought a couple Double Arrow razors from the bay and will probably need to re-pin them and maybe make new scales.
