Argh!!! And showing off, and in need of scales
I worked on one of my recent aquistions (my W&B with what looked like metal scale liners rather than actual scales) and I got the thing in fine condition, IMO.. in spite of some MAJOR pitting on the back side of the blade.. And I managed to save the etching on the front side.
My problem was that the scales I wanted to used.. from a cheap-o POS simco razor are broken!! I cracked the thing while trying to remove the pins.. So now I am scale-less. I'd order a dovo one but.. comparing the blade with a dovo pakawood scale I have on one of my other blades, I found that this thing is just too long.
I lack for power tools (other than a dremmel and some simple hand tools) so.. is there any hope of making my own scales? I've toyed with the idea of making scales with the remains of my aluminum frame from my old cyclocross bike but I'm not sure where to start.
anyways... here's the pics:

Oh! I forgot I had this!! If I get desperate enough, I could go this route.. Its time Germany and England made their peace...
(that Otto blade is toast.. maybe I'd get 25 cents for it, heh)

Yup... tos that old blade and install that butcher, they'll make a fine couple.
Great job cleaning up that blade... but where's the etch?
