    I use Wapi scales as a template. It makes for an excellent choice since the razor is inexpensive to buy and the scales are flat. The razor also holds a reasonable edge. There is a user on SRP who sells them I believe. Thats my best recommendation for you.

    EDIT: The SRP user who sells wapis will also sell the blade without scales for those looking to make their own scales (like me )
