I ordered a few of these. Judging from the color/finish they have been heat treated and tempered. I might be wrong. I also guess that they are a single concave grind and a bit thick. It looks like a blank that was destined to be a full hollow eventually. I expect that it will need a bit of grinding to be usable as a single concave razor.
Just my two cents,:)
I got the set. Now what. Do they just need to be ground, polished, and sharpened only. They are rough, but are they tempered and ready to finish? Seems like a fun project.

I also ordered some. They should be arriving in a day or two. If you want to wait then I will take mine to Mike Blue and ask him. He has a Rockwell tester and that might be useful. Right now, based on the color and texture in the pic, I think they have been heat treated and possibly tempered as well. My assumption is that these have not been ground so they are a single concave shape direct from the stamping machine.
On mine, at a minimum, I will temper them again at 400 degrees for 1 hour, let cool to room temperature, which happens quicly, then back in the oven for another hour. The Rockwell test wil be informative.
Once we are sure that they have been heat treated and tempered then it is a matter of grinding, polishing and sharpening.
This will be fun,:)
The set I received consisted of 1- 7/8 x3 1/8 inch spike full hollow, 1- 5/8 x 2 7/8 inch French point @1/4 hollow, 1- 5/8 X 1 3/8 French point wedge, & 1- 3/8 X 2 3/4 inch round point 1/2 hollow. I don't have my camera with me. The 7/8 and the wedge are not stamped on the tang and are more blueish then the other two. They are stamped #304 and #37. The pictures on the SMKW are the same as what was sent. I'll probable have pictures up later.

Sounds like a good assortment! Mike Blue emailed me today and said I could bring the razors to his shop for testing. This should be interesting.
How thick is the edge on your razors?
