My Herder has been my favourite for 2 years. Really good blades IMHO. If I had the equipment to finish them would buy them.

Great Find! I ordered a set. A add on tease came up with the polish cloth. These are excellent polishing cloths. And guys if your wife complains when the delivery shows up, give her the free paring knife.

I am really debating buying these, I mean it seems they will just need a good sanding and then polish to get them ready for scales, but I am a bit taken back by the 8 dollars in shipping.

Anyone know if these are heat-treated yet or still soft? Only says "blanks".

I looked at those also but I noticed that the ad said that you get an assortment of four blades not necessarily ones the same size as those in the picture.
Wonder what the case really is?

I'd try that, but I do all the cooking in the house, any chance I could get a free set of scrapbooking scissors instead?

They will need a lot of finish work, that's obvious.
I'd be concerned about getting a set of 3/8 or worse...
now if you could request a certain size...

They seem to be at least partially ground so, yes, they are heat-treated.

I'd get a set, but they only ship within the US...
