Thanked: 0regrinding a warped blade
I have a Wilkinson straight that's slightly warped. Just enough to make honing difficult. I was wondering if someone could regrind it? It's a heavy 11/16" blade with a very thick spine. I expect it would end up a lighter and smaller razor but at least I could use it then. Any sugestions?

I have a Jos Rogers meat chopper with the same problem. I used the rolling x and after a lot of work got a great shave with it. The bevels are uneven but he shaves just swell.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 2209Not very many people do regrinding and I doubt that would take out the warp. Your best bet is to learn the "rolling X stroke" and/or a narrow hone. The last resort is a hone with a curved, convex, surface. A super light touch is needed for that.
