Yes. The Dovo is a full hollow. The others range from half to full.

Thanked: 13249The reason I asked is that in "General" the full and singing hollows require a more delicate touch on the stones and the strops and even when shaving..... The wedges down to half hollows are just *tuffer* blades and the same motions that you use with them, can create mircochipping on on the fine edge of the full hollows.....

I guess I do go a little long between shaves sometimes. When the Dovo comes up, she's asked to do the same job as the big boys. I'll pay closer attention or just retire her.

It's a Black Star with pakawood scales. Economy model I know. I just feel like the "singing" blade is a little too delicate for my face. It's not really comfortable to me. My other razors are "heavier" which translates to a "sure" shave.
