    Default Gold Plating

I've been using an old LF & C, it shaves well, but I was wanting to give it a good clean up. There is little rust damage, very little pitting as is, so I just started using a little mother's, avoiding the edge(I mention this so you'll understand when I get to post the pics) and it cleans up pretty well. The problem is that she has gold plating, or what appears to be, and I'm not sure how to resore that particular area without damaging the plating worse than it already is. It just looks silly shiny on two sides and everywhere around the plating all tarnished. I'd appreciate any ideas as I can't think of what to do.

    Default Simple really!!!!

Clean and polish the whole thing ditch the gold plating and when it is as perfect as you can get it....
PM AaronX and plead with him to replate on the gold
I have seen his work in person, and his looks as good if not actually better than the factory stuff....
