Default Re-pinning and rust removal service

I'm looking for someone, preferably someone known to the forum, to whom I can send a couple of my Dad's old straights for some work. They both have some pitting along the back of the spine and on the tang near the pivot pin.

I can handle rust removal and polishing but, considering where the rust is in relation to the pin, I want the blade unpinned to avoid damage to the scales, which I want to preserve, and that kind of work is way beyond my comfort level. So, I need someone who can unpin the blade, clean it up, and repin it.

The forum's comments and advice are always appreciated.

There are quite a few who offer restoration services - gssixgun does excellent work - you can find his (and others) contact information in the classifieds section (link on the top bar) under "Services".

    Good luck,
