    Default Question about polishing

I’ve been using Mothers metal polish and a Dremel felt polishing wheel to clean a razor. The results are great and the razor looks very clean to me. I’ve probably went through about 16 felt polishing wheels, but I’m still getting black residue. Does this mean that the blade is not yet clean? Is there ever a point in which black residue will not come off of the razor?

More than likely it is the minute particles of metal coming off with the polish, it wont stop until you run out of metal. If its got the shine you want, stop polishing and wipe the residue off with a soft rag.
