    An alternative to using a Dremel would be to "grind" down the tip on a hone (this will likely put some serious wear on the hone, so try to use a hard one, and don't use your favorite one). Many people "mute" spike point razors in this method, and even if you just round out the bite and then blunt it so it's not a sharp edge you might be able to shave with the razor.
