Default A simple Wapi mod to counter scale weight

These small finger grooves have proven excellent in counteracting the balance problems caused by the infamously heavy Wapi scales, for me anyway.

How exactly did you do that? Is it sanded or cutaway with like a bandsaw blade? Or both? I think I would like to try that with my Wapi.

SRP ate my reply! Second verse same as the first.

    <<Condensed Reply>>

Used a 1/2" drum sanding bit on my dremel free hand.

I would grind a little and then test how the grip felt and then grind some more.

The first one (the blued one) turned out really well, the finger grooves gave a really lock-in, stable feel.

On the second one (sfw, silver blade) I made the grooves deeper and I lost a bit of that tight grip, but it was an improvement.

With the third (non-stamped) I went minimal and found the small indents almost as good as the larger ones.

If you do this mod remember to file or grind away the burr that will build up between the scales before closeing the razor.

Nope, I intersperse these stiff razors with my hollow grounds to vary the experience.
