    Default W&B Wedge

I have a Wade and Butcher wedge that i would like to restore/rescale. I know nothing of these things. I would like some suggestions. I know plenty about woodworking, what i mostly want to know / need to know is how to get the scales off and then how to install new scales by peening (correct term i hope)

    Thanks guys.

Thanks. Is there anything different when it comes to honing a wedge from a hollow?

Wedges tend to require more strokes since there is more metal to remove. You also need to be careful with honing pressure; the blade is heavier, but you want to use as light a touch as possible while keeping the blade flat on the stone.
