Thanked: 13245A vintage restore on a Dubl Duck "SatinBaby" this one was all done by hand, there was no way I was risking this razor, or the scales, to a Dremel or a buffer, I have been hunting for one, way to long.....
Yeah I know the pics suck, but I'll get some better ones in the SOTD as soon as I get this little duckling honed up...
Note the spine wear in the before pics.... You actually can make it go bye bye, but it is a lot of work....
Look closely at the spine in the after shots....

Aww, she's so cute, Glen. Very nice work. What's the blade size in relation to a DD Dwarf?

Thanked: 13245OK I measured my 2 Dwarfs for total edge length from the first shoulder cut to the toe (the long shoulder) all three are Spikes BTW
Pearlduck Dwarf = 2 3/4 in. exact
Bresnick Dwarf = 2 9/16 in. exact
SatinBaby = 2 11/16 in. exact
And measured from tail to end of scales closed
OAL Pearduck Dwarf = 6 in.
OAL Bresnick Dwarf = 5 7/8 in.
OAL Satin Baby = 5 3/4 in.

So cool Glen! I want one!
Would you take a picture with something to give it scale? I can't really get a good idea the size.

Nice one Glen. The 'Duck' museum must be near complete.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 102Little Ducks
Fantastic:
I have been looking for a Dwarf with absolutly no luck. Now I want a Satin Baby, which I did not know they made. So I am twice out of luck when it comes to ducks.
I enjoy reading you post.

Mmmmm! nice razor... looks mint...
Did you use the "warped stone" method to remove the hone were?... I didn't know it was dangerous..
As always... a great restore

Great job, Glen! Removing hone wear! Now that's a trick!
