    Lightbulb Simple Brush Holder

Now that I own a SEMOQUE Brush, I made a holder for it. Get a hanging hook from any box store or Wal Mart and re- bend a large hook in it using a socket or something the same diameter as the brush handle for a bending mandrel. (The upper hook is a "before" stock hook). I just pinched the hook in a vise along with a socket from my toolbox and hammered out the radius and finished the job with a pair of pliers. I hang my brush bristle down from the bottom of the medicine cabinet in my bathroom. If you choose, you can just screw the hook into a vertical surface without the extra 90degree bend. It works and looks neat underneath the cabinet. Tip: when screwing something into wood, first scrape the threads on your shaving soap. It makes for less friction in the pilot hole. Robert

    Default Simple Brush Holder

muchfun, A de-fluxed welding rod will do if you can find a thread die or a nut that can cut some threads on the end of the rod. Then file or grind that threaded portion to a taper and bend to size and screw it into something. You might just use a file to cut the threads. Something to auger into the wood is all you need. Good luck and get back to CONUS safely! Robert

Actually I was thinking of making a free standing one dont know why i didnt think of it before DOH! I have a bunch of brass and some stainless rod laying all around over herein Dia. of 1/8 inch to 3/8s of an inch and just about all of them in between.
Guess i have been so wrapped up in work and all and going out on missions and just never thought of it until you said something. And being now that I will be coming home they wont let me go out on missions anymore this will be a fine time to try and make one andplus it wil keep me occupied and my mind off of finally coming home.
