    Anyone use these yet ?

Curious as to how you would know if they will fit the blade you want to put in them ?

The advertisement says they will fit up to 7/8" blade. But I don't understand that. The scales I have made have been different sizes depending on the width of the blade. Not all blades are the same length either.

What I would need to do is draw the outline on paper and then lay the blade on the paper and see if it looks right.

Having made my own, you are quite right to ask the question. It's easy to get a bad fit with too much overlap or a blade not sitting square. If the scale is to wide or to narrow it looks ugly.

So in answer to your question, I suppose you have to take pot luck.

    Nice looking scales though.

You might want to drop Jim a note and ask him. I've found him a pleasure to do business with, so I'm sure he'll answer your questions.

I was very satisfied with them. They are extra long, so you may need to trim them a little. I just threw the blade in there, but they are obviously too long for the blade I chose to put in them. Might trim them down a bit later on.
