    Default Polishing a Dovo

    I just acquired my first Dovo. The pitcures look great, and am hoping to get it this week. My question to all of you is this. Does buffing with the MAAS paste have any effect on the etched gold and lettering on the blade? Thanks...

    All metal polishes are abrasive! Yes you will lose the thin coat of goldwash if you polish it!

    I have also noticed that sometimes you lose the gold color, but the etch is fine just kinda silver instead of gold.....
