those are both fantastic blades and will make great shavers. looking good so far, except not big on the woste. although there may be an image on the front that you are not wanting to get rid of. not sure.

either way, good start. if you decide you do not like, there are plenty that will take both blades off you quick.

    good luck.

    GO FOR IT !!!!

Those are both full of real potential, that Greaves just looks mean .....

I would push the polish more on the Wostie myself but that is like everything else YMMV

That Greaves is great. Definitely go all the way with that.

I can see the patina look you are going for with the other- I just think most people don't 'prefer' that look.

Well, I guess as usual, I'm different, because I really like it as it is. It's an antique so there's nothing wrong with letting it look like an antique.

    I'm for both 'looks'.
I like shiny but as Ron said ' It's an antique so....'

Nothing wrong with it looking like an antique is right. My opinion however is that he could do a lot more work on the Wostenholm seeing as how the bluing will accentuate pits and the uneven hone wear. YMMV and all that.

I am sure you will get as many opinions as there are those that post here. I am new to wet shaving and also starting to restore myself I think both those blades are great. I like the blued look with some of the pits left in. I plan on trying many different things. The great thing is if you dont like it you can always sand it down and make it shinny again. Great job
