I'll post pics tomorrow 'cause I'm tired now, but I had to share. I wasn't going for perfect, just something I could shave with.

The scales are bloodwood and came out okay. The wedge is also bloodwood. The blade is one I found in my dad's basement. The pins are brass escutcheons (brass nails with a decent head on one end).

Next time I do it I will
1. buy washers that fit rather than making my own from brass shim stock.
2. use a wedge that stands out a bit more.
3. work out a better shape to the scales.
4. make sure the blade isn't warped before I peen it. (While honing, I found one side was not touching the toe or heel, the other side was only touching the toe and heel.)

Maybe I'll take it out and put in a different blade. I just want another working razor.
