Niiiice. Good job with it all. It's always great to work with things you've built yourself.

Good job! I also believe in overkill. The legs on my bench's are 4" X 4" and it is also all made from scrap lumber.

    Very True.
That is why I double-coated the short legs with varnish for outdoors use, and put thin strips of rubber between the legs and the floor.
    Should have mentioned it before.

Yes, but not that soon. I have a small homemade grinder, but it is only fit for restoration purposes. I am thinking on making a belt grinder myself.

I don't know yet if I will install a buffer wheel or not. At present I use my dremel for buffing. And while it takes a good half hour to buff out a razor, at least the dremel does not try to behead me or rip out my fingers.

    Hah
I cleaned up the bench for the occasion, picked up scraps off the floor, fired up the vacuum cleaner...
I had to take the pics 3 times because every time I discovered junk in the pics
I took extra care to make good pics because as I said, it will probably never look like this again.

It's not installed yet, but the final plans for my kingdom (aka daddy's dungeon) include a coffeemaker.

Very well done Bruno. I especially like the extension for the drill press!
