    Default restore edge

i just got a boker red injun that needs a new edge... when that is needed, do you guys actually flatten the edge by directly honing it... ie: make a cutting action on a stone to even it out? and then resharpen?

First before you Bread-knife the edge you need to define "it needs a new edge"

If this is a damaged edge or a badly frowned edge then yes this is the way to proceed...

Warning: this is a lot of work, and requires patience and skill... that why the original thread was in the advanced section..... I would advise reading the original thread too... before you use this method
