Default handle idea for nonfolding razor

Lately I have been using a wrap on these razors. I like the control and feel of the wrap. The knot is long 2 bite turks head.

Yeah, I know green para cord. If the world ever comes to and end and I can’t use a towel, I will use that razor to shave commando.

Edit: Edit: If you do make a handle like this watch out for your dogs. While I was putting up the camera and stuff from taking these pictures my new puppy grabbed the yellow handled razor made it through two dog doors and ran like a puppy in the back yard.
Nobody got hurt, I learned a lesson.

    CRAZY dog

Haha, my dad had a bulldog that (I'm told) ate razor blades. But running off with a straight is just plain greedy!

Is that top razor made from an engineer’s file?
I used to make white metal bearing scrapers from half round files when I was an apprentice long time back!

Those would give a lot more control.

    Looking good!

Yes it is an old file, I annealed shaped then heatreated.
I too have scrapers made form old files, but have not done any bearing scraping. I have been reading on how to pour and fit babbit bearings. I would like to restore some old machinery someday.

Flint? I do not know, it is a rock from my grandmother's house I like the way it looked.

I really like them, however the handle wraps are a little to bulky for my taste.

Well start selling already would you. I'm sure there are other members who want to relax in the shave with one of your beauties some day.

These are great Spazola, but imho would lookk much better with a smaller diameter cordage.
