    Default CLR?

I'm sure someone must have tried this, or at least discussed it, but I was at Home Depot yesterday looking for some polishing compound and sitting right next to it was CLR (calcium, lime and rust remover). Has anyone tried something like that on a blade with any good results? Wondering if you dropped a lightly pitted blade in a diluted solution if that might take some of the nasty out.
Or would it cause more harm than good?

We tried that once. It turned the blade black. We pretty much stick with Maas, We found it at Walmart in with the cleaning products.

Not a good idea. Also stay away from Chlorox type of things.
Go to an automotive store and look at the metal polishes. Mothers brand also has some good stuff. That and sandpaper are the safest bets.
