Thanked: 5My first and second project razors
Hello all,
After about a month and a half of interrupted work, I've finally finished my first restoration. It is a La Perla spike point with Canary Wood scales with an African Mahogany spacer. Since I travel, this was all done by hand. While not 100% perfect - I'm still happy with my first attempt. The second razor is a Dbl Duck Goldenedge that I picked up. Since the scales were still very nice looking, though warped a little, I left the scales original and just cleaned and honed the blade. Currently the shave quality is limited by my technique in shaving and honing - so I'll wait to comment on the blades performance. Any suggestions on either razor is great appreciated.
Thanks,
BJC

Outstanding work for a first time. Potentially some great shaves ahead.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Looks like a nice finish on them & some lovely work! You're right to have salvaged the dubl duck scales. All the more immpressive without the use of power tools!
