Thread: new toy

I got this for my wood working tools and decided to try it out on a razor.
first I had to find a good project to start with.


Took the scales off which was no problem.
Did some quick cleaning with a 120 grit fiber wheel and a little buffing.


Started with the 1000 grit on glass plate. this took about 5 minutes. There was no heat build up and I did about 5 passes on each side.


Then on to the 3000 grit another 5 minutes.

NOT shave ready but it will shave the hair off my arm and the edge is straight. Slight taper from the toe to heel but I think this will work for for cleaning up a nasty blade.
Here is the new toy.


It works great for it's intended use. I can almost shave with my wood planes and chiesels.
