Default I think 400 is just fine!

All right, having played around a bit, and found out how hard the hand sanding is. I might just decide to just leave them all at 400! seriously, it doesn't look that bad, and the flap wheels go that high, much easier. I spent HOURS working a blade (had to start at 100 for some deep staining) then finally got tired of it at about 320, got some flap wheels, WOW! Can't believe I ever did that first part by hand.

Here is what I worked on last night (didn't work on the wester brothers other than the hot water dish soap they both got). the crud on this torrey was amazingly nasty. some good pipe cleaners took care of it. of course this black handle material seems to always get ugly in hot water and has to be polished out afterwards.

    Default after some work

I really don't need this razor, would prefer to sell it, but it was a Christmas gift from my father-in-law, you know if I sell it he'll ask me some day how I'm liking it.

maybe difficult to tell because of bad lighting but the etching is still there and looks good.

Hey, I think it looks pretty good from here. The scratch lines are a tiny bit uneven on the front side, but that might just be an artifact from the pics too.
