    Default Inlaying brass into wood scale

    Does anybody here have any experience with this? How would one go about inlaying very thin rod into the scales?

    I've never tried using brass rod for inlay, but I imagine it would go like this:

    Cut a groove using an appropriate carver's gouge or rotary tool. Rought the rod a little with sandpaper, then glue it into the groove with epoxy or similar adhesive. After curing, file or sand the rod flush, then polish, clean and topcoat it.

    Yes, that does seem to be the way. I just wanted to get input before I moved forward. I will post pics when I'm done. I'm pretty excited about how this set is turning out.
