    Default Saveable/Shaveable?

I got this razor out of a lot on ebay, it isnt marked as far as the maker all it says is "manufactured for the united states" which is cut away partially by the tang work. When i received the razor it said "closest shaver" on the blade.. hardly legible.

Do you think i will remove to much metal trying to get the craters out of it? It seems like the blade is almost completely covered in tiny pits. Here is the before 120 grit and after 120 grit

By the way, i suck with the camera

That is a nice looking blade. Would be a shame if it couldn't be restored, but from what I can see it should come out nice.

That's got such an unusual tang. Even if the pitting won't come out completely, it can still look great.

I agree. It is possible that without a ton of sanding you won't get all of the pitting out, but IMO that's just character.
