Default How to fix warped horn scales?

I have some old horn scales that are in good shape except for the fact that they're warped to one side. It makes centering the razor impossible without flexing them over to allow the razor to settle between them. Is there any safe way to redirect the scales? Would steam or a heat gun work? Or just destroy them? I have no idea how old horn would react to either. I would like to reuse them, but if they are a lost cause I can at least use the pewter wedge on some new scales to keep some originality. Thanks razor gurus!

oh, I just saw that this is posted in the wrong sub forum. I meant for the workshop. Maybe a mod could move it? Thanks.

Thanks, for some reason I wasn't finding what I wanted in the search. Those are just perfect

No problemo. I often have trouble & sometimes its just a matter of simplifying the wording & wading thru all the results. Good luck with the scales & post yer results.
