    Hey guys I've got a joseph rodgers and sons. that needs some work. I've never done a restore before so i need a lil help.No good pics but i'll have some up soon.Any advise would be great.

    it's got pitting on the spine and blade face plus the tang. I'm working on pics to show how it looks,but thanks for the advise.

    If you want to get rid of the pitting, the hand-sanding tutorial should have some good info. It's something of a call as to how much to sand; balancing out the amount of pitting with the amount of metal you remove.
