This weekend I was looking for Maguires #4. Couldn't find it but I thought I found the same thing just a different package. Maguires #1 Deep Crystal Formula. Said that it would remove swirl marks etc..

So I took it home and tried to remove some swirl marks from my razor that I am restoring. Didn't work.

So I reread the bottle, Non-Abrasive formula.

Where's my Dovo. Here, a little dirty and old, had it for near 10 years. Water spots and some black stuff, Hmm has that white etching too. Ah well, we'll try it.

Dremel, buffing wheel, 7500 rpm. Result

No loss of etching, much cleaner and shinier blade. One side benefit that the bottle doesn't mention. It puts a waterproof coating on the metal.

When the blade gets wet the water beads!!! Hell to wipe off but great to help to eliminate water spots and corrosion. I will be using this product for all my razor cleaning needs. Now to find Maguires #4.
