    Default Maple Train Track scales?

Probably a stupid idea, but does anyone know what Thomas the tank engine wood tracks are made of?
A quick search of google didn't really say, maybe maple? I have a bunch in the basement the kids won't miss. I'd just have to find a way to get them to a good width for scales.
    thanks!

    Default the fine print

I used to trade those stup- er, I mean those lovely little trains on eBay so have communicated with learning curve in the past. Notice though Dan said he uses maple "on the train" but didn't directly say what he uses for the tracks. The plot thickens!

No Lee, Dan is just lonely and wants another mail asking him to confirm the tracks are made from Maple also
