Default Who does the best job at Re Scaleing ?

I would like to get rid of the imitation Tortise scales on my DOVO and get spalted maple scales, I dont want to do it myself ,I worked in the custom cabinet industry for 20 years and could probally do this myself, but I dont have patients anymore.Does anyone know who can do this and the approximate cost?

There is a lot of talent here. Look through the gallery and see whose work you like, then PM them for details. I have thought pretty hard about getting some scales made for me.

I don't think anyone can say who is "best". Look around and see what you like. And/or place a "Want to Buy" (WTB) post in the appropriate calssified section for the maple you're looking for.

Agreed. There are many talented people here who thankfully are generous enough to show us their work. To some degree, scale work choices come down to personal preference in liking one person's style vs. another.

Careful with that spalted stuff... can make you really sick.. (sorry if you already know that, just trying to help in case you didn't know how dangerous that stuff was)

As a former doctor, he should be able to deal with any issues with the spalted maple!

+1 on ChrisL. The best is dependent on your personal preference. There's a lot of talent displayed in the Gallery. Find a style you like and PM that scalemeister. Good luck.
