Can anyone direct me to a source for replacement scales for blades up to 8/8?

It depends what you need or want: factory or custom? wood, bone, ivory, acrylic, ... ? you can find Dovo or Thiers-Issard replacement scales, and many members here who are making custom ones... maybe if you could be a little more precise?

I have two 7/8 Henckels that I would like to rescale. My desired material is a natural Pakka wood or Ivory. I see availability for these materials up to 6/8, but I question the safety of going that route.

The only replacement scales that I know of are the Dovo & the TI ones and I doubt either will fit a 7/8 Henckels well MAYBE the TI ones....
Almost any of the restorers listed in the classifieds can make the right scales for you out of any wood you want... just PM one of us and if you want a DIY project some of the guys do that too where they cut and drill the scales and wedge and you sand, finish, and pin them....Last edited by gssixgun; 02-21-2009 at 11:29 PM.
