Thanked: 6Adjustable Pins?
What are these adjustable pins that I keep seeing references to? I checked Micro Fasteners' site and saw no reference to them. Are we just talking about miniature screws and nuts? If so, what type and size replaces the standard 1/16 brass rod. Also, if these are just screws, do the threads have any impact on the inner surface of the pin hole in the blade itself. Seems to me that there would be considerable wear either on the blade hole or the screw itself. Any clarification would be appreciated.

I have never used them but I understand them to be just screws and nuts. As for the wear, I do not know.

I havent got the shopping list at hand but 0-80 was what I remembered as the size.

Microfasteners has the right stuff. 0-80 x 3/4 Hex Head Machine Screws - Brass Qty 100 0-80 on the nuts and bolts and 0 size for washers. I like to use large and small washers stacked for a more pleasing appearance.

Thanked: 278Aha, so that's the standard size!
Is this the exact diameter of the hole in the blade, or is that a little bigger?
I've been trying to find UK suppliers of microfasteners. 0-80 size is just under .06" or 1.5mm and they are hard to find. But 1/16"=0.0625" or 1.59mm. Does this mean a 1.6mm microfastener would do the job? They are much easier to find.
