    Default Water Buffalo Horn Tip

Hey Gents...I have a big old piece of Black water buffalo horn. It comes from the tip, and it's maybe about a foot long (it's actually a shoehorn...) and I was wondering, would it be suitable for turning into scales? Or is the hollow section of the horn more appropriate, due to curvature/thickness etc...?
