Thanked: 156Norton Diamond Magic Pad anyone?
I was searching for sandpaper on the craftsman website and came across this. Norton Diamond Magic Pad - Medium Grit - 3-1/2 x 2-1/8 x 1in
Says its supposed to be flexible and uses diamonds to cut. Alternative to sandpaper?

Thanked: 77(dang it. I was going to report that spammer and Old School killed him before I could post)
I wonder what "medium grit" is equivalent to? Looks like it might be really good for cleaning up rusted or pitted blades. If we knew the approximate grit then you could compare to how much regular wet-n-dry sandpaper you could buy for $10.75. That pad looks like it would make it comortable to use though and presumably diamond grit would last longer?

Thanked: 156My guess is fine (200 grit). My only concern is whether it would bend enough; oh, and how long it lasts.
But yeah, definitely looks inifinitely more comfortable than sandpaper.

Well, got a response from someone from customer service at craftsmanstudio. He said it was probably 220 grit and should be flexible enough for our application.
Since no one has tried this...I suppose I shall be the guinea pig. ; )Last edited by Leighton; 03-06-2009 at 05:37 PM.
