    Default angled lapping?

This is from the "one way to hone an Ebay razor"

Do angled laps heel first - no X stroke here - across the hone. You might as well get a nice even bevel started right off.
    What is an angled lap?

    Thanks for any help

I believe that would be like the 45 degree X stroke in this article but without the X stroke - so lead with the heel (and lag with the toe) straight across the hone without letting any part of the blade cross the sides of the hone during the stroke

[Edit: I am wrong, Glen was talking about the stroke we often call a breadknifing stroke]

Yep thats what it means, a heel forward straight stroke down the hone...

I know it says everywhere in the thread and in the Wiki but just to make sure... That system is for really bad /damaged edges, you are in restoration here, not honing....
