You know Victor, a very Special Gentleman here on SRP sent me some blades to hone, fix, and give away, as the need arises.... There is a brand new never been honed Wapi in there and I can have it honed and on it's way to you before the weekend if you would like.... That way for sure you have a good one ready to go....
    Just let me know....

First of all thanks a lot for your help and offer...although it is a very tempting offer, let's do the following....starting today I will try to get this Wapi fixed....I will hone it to remove the "little" nick....if I'm not able to get this one back to life....I will accept your offer....

Thanks a again for your contributions to this forum....

    Unhappy

This also happened to me yesterday.I was just learning how to hone, strop and shave. I guess this is part of the challenge. I intend to fix it, though.

The question is....to repair or to get a new one.....what would be your recommendation? and if the recommendation is to repair...what could be the better approach?

Very generous offer. Kudos to you and the donor :...now then I uh dropped this awesome new Friodur...

Just kidding. I'm waiting for my new Dubl Duck Goldedge to come...never thought I'd get a Dubl Duck as my first straight but hooray for the awesomeness of the SRP Classifieds and all the nice folks (esp. gugi, who has continuously put up with non-stop questions from me!).

That really sucks. I was just learning to shave and it puts a hold on my shaving. I guess I signed up for it. I will try to post the outcome.
