Thanked: 156Engels Blade (Is it OK?)
So I was looking at it today before I sent it out for rescaling and saw all the nasty pitting along the edge and I thought about Bart's post. Now I'm not sure if the blade is saved or not. Thoughts?
If the concensus is "not saveable" I will be offering this piece up for $10 shipped to any brave takers. Might go down to price of shipping ($5) if no one bites.

FWE Leaders are great blades. Just put it on the hone and start setting the bevel. Look at it under the microscope or eye loupe and you will soon know the answer to your question. Hard to say from photos but it looks to me like you'll get down to good steel pretty quick.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 735HA!
From the last picture, You Honor....it can clearly be seen that the defendant was not studying Law, as he should have been, but was, instead noodling about with his razor collection yet again!
Baliff, take him away!
That does not look like any kind of serious pitting to worry about in my book. Run it across a hone a few times and it will leave a shiny bevel, I'm almost positive.
