Thanked: 0clorox = BAD for steel and sad for me
I'm a newbie and I screwed up. I just got my first ST8 (steel), and to clean it I used 70% alcohol followed by a weak bleach solution. I misread the srpwiki, now I have dark spots along my blade.
I want to know if anyone can recommend a method for removing these stains?
and will they affect my blade and edge?

That depends on how long you left the blade in that acid solution... cleanup may be as simple as metal polish on cloth... or sanding the blade to remove deep tarnish.
You certainly will not be able to shave with it in its present condition as the acid will have eaten away any keen edge it may have had, but should be correctable with a good honing.
Any pics?

Like 'Smythe' asked, we need to see some pics. That would help..

Thanked: 735MY BABY!!!!
Some polish should help. Be very careful of the edge when polishing!

I would hit it with a Dremel with buffing wheel and MAAS. It might be done with just a cloth and MAAS.

Yeah, Seraphim's baby looks recoverable. I'd throw it on the wheels myself.
Lesson learned I guess. Clorox is a big no-no
