Default thin stock + tajima saw = handmade scales

i have some ebony stock thats only 3/4 thick.

haha im gonna take out the tajima japanesse hand saws tomorrow and make some scales.
ill post pics when im done and the whole process etc.

plus im gonna experiment and take a section of the left over ebony and try to make scales that are one piece. im not saying they are gonna come out amazing but ****e, it doesnt hurt to experiment.

again all with the work of tajima hand saws. it should be a fun project. im doing it because i want truly hand made scales. plus i dont have access to a bandsaw at the moment bc my union hall is closed for the weekend.

With the scale of scale work, i don't find much need for power tools.

Now if you are really wanting completely hand made scales you will need to back up in process and find some wood to harvest

oh, dont forget to use hand made tools
