Just a question
Has anyone ever tried to fix a cracked blade?
Can this be done?

I'm not a restorer but the only solution I can imagine is regrinding the blade and doing away with the crack. So wouldn't it depend on the location ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've ground out the cracked area & seen several others do it, but that's not a proper repair.
I can't see how the steel could be fused back without destroying it. I remember a fella soldered the blade back onto the tang on here. I kept expecting a post about the horrendous injury he sustained when it fell off, but he seemed confident it had worked!
