    Default Cord Wrap

Does anyone have any tutorials on wrapping a handle in this fashion using Knifekits.com's flat wrap?

I would like to lay down some ray skin and use the traditional twist pattern, but have no idea how to go about it.

    Thanks

sorry man, i dont know what that flat wrap is at knifekits. should i have looked for a link?

one problem i see for a traditional tsukamaki look is the scale. the razor handle is so small you will need a very narrow material to do the wrap. + Trad. tsukamaki is rather difficult to do- lots of tricks to learn
a basic starter tutorial is here:

The Art of Tsukamaki, by Thomas L. Buck.

Here's another type of wrap but would not show much samegawa:
    Japanese traditional knife : watanabeblade.com

good luck. i'll see what else i have filed away if you need more.

The stuff at knifekits is real wide, but then again the cotton wrap that is on it is not doubt traditional. I'll see if I can figure how they wrapped it and go from there.

I like the wantanabe style. I think I can pull that off.
