Default another set of scales i made today...ironwood duck/bird looking shape

i got bored. the union hasnt called me in a while to work. i guess its because im a huge fan of rush limbaugh. anywho...i got bored today. so i put on the ol' thinking cap and came up with these. not done yet obviously. still gotta give the edges a cove profile to them.

but here they are for now. they fit with a boker. but im gonna get a double duck razor and make it so that way the pin looks like an eye. gotta find a rare big dd

and just for ****s & giggles...

I like the shape of those scales, nicely done. What kind of wood did you use, and what are you going to use for the wedge?

I'd love to see a boker or DD in those, be sure to post pictures when you have a razor put into those.

the wood i used was ironwood. the wedge im gonna do tomorrow. idk i was thinking just ironwood, but now im getting all these ideas to maybe take a maple or oak and stain it orange or yellow. the wood is has a ton of yellow, orange and a pale yellowy green in it.

That looks cool! I'd like to see the finished results too! Skin art is neat also.

    Davey,

+1 on seeing pictures of the finished razor with those scales. What a creative idea for a pattern. A natural with a DD, of course!

Cool scales . Definitely belongs on a Duck.
Ironwood is one of my faves. Should polish up a treat.
