    Default Making scales

I can'tfind anything in the wiki about how to make wooden scales. Has anyone here, (or will anyone here) do a bit of a photo illustration re how to go about making wooden scales ?

I have a few nice razors, but they would look so much better with nice wood scales.

Look at the stickies in the Wrokshop section. Plenty of tutorials there.

Glen has provided a fairly comprehensive tutorial: Restoring a Straight Razor - Straight Razor Place Wiki

Thanks Robin I was wondering if everything had been lost there for a second

Hugo there is an entire section on restoration in the Wiki I also always advise that you link back to the original threads as the Wiki is the condensed version and the original threads have many asked and answered questions in them

We also meet in the chat room every Tuesday night at 8 EST for the Restoration Chat

Most weeks have almost every one of the forum Restorers and a few of the Custom razor makers in chat so there is quite a bit of experience in there to help you out... Please join us

That would be 3pm in the afternoon for me. I am always in work at that time.

Having said that, Marvellous! I knew I would get the answer to making scales here. Thank you everyone for the links and pointing me in the right direction.

Bill Ellis has a blog where he's posted tutorials about restoration and scale making too.
