Thanked: 1262Wedge/Spacer Materials
I have been cutting my teeth on wood scales, mistakes are cheaper. But i think a non-wood wedge/spacer would look much better.
What kind of materials are commonly used and are most available in local shops(lowes/ace/home depot/hobby shops/etc...).
Any precautions to working with any of these materials, other than general safety?
Thanks.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

You can use semi precious stones too. Bevansmw did a good write up here, http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...e-spacers.html, of how he did it. I thought they looked amazing & keep meaning to have a go. I don't think it'd get expensive & there are so many variations you could try.
