Default Call for a volunteer: anyone interested in restoring a razor for the giveaway?

After talking about this with Glen, I decided to post a request, asking for volunteer(s).

I have a 11/16 (or 12/16. don't remember) christensen handforged. It has been in my restoration pile forever, and I have so many interesting projects lined up that it would remain there for years to come, so I decided to give it away.

It needs some light resto work: sanding, polish, scales, ... the usual. I was wondering if anyone is interested in restoring it for the purpose of giving it away in a giveaway. You'd get the public kudos of course.

You don't have to be a restoration meister to apply. If you are just starting out and have some idea of what you are doing, that is good enough for me.

If you are interested, just drop me a PM. First come first serve. If I get more than 1 volunteer, I will have a look in my todo pile to see if I have anything else I can give away for the stated purpose.

And the 'winners' are in the order they posted here I should have another blade available, but I need to sort through the resto pile to see what I can turn up. I'll get back to you with some pics.

I don't do scales, but sign me up if you find one that just needs light blade work and scale cleaning.

I have a Frederick Reynolds "Old English Gentleman's Razor" with a broken set of scales, but the blade is in pretty good shape, if someone wants to have a go at re-scaling it. I'll even throw in some 1/8" birdseye maple if it should be needed.
