Default Rolling X or Wobbly X

I understand that the Rolling X is for a Smile that is that the toe and the heel are shorter than the middle of the blade.

If you have an Elvis at the toe can you do a partial Rolling X or a Wobbly X to where 90% of the blade sits on the stone and then move to toe? Or would one still want the stick with the Rolling stroke?

    Don't mess with the King!

I suspect that what he is describing is that his blade only has half a smile. That is, the heel is straight but the toe is worn away more so that the toe end looks like a smiling blade. I got that from his honing question. I have no idea what Elvis has to do with it.

Maybe this should be moved to the honing section?

Lets leave it here in case we are talking a breadknife situation, which we all keep saying is restoration

I'll move it if warranted after more description /pics

Possibly he is refering to Elvis, because Elvis always had a partial or sideways smile?

Agreed. It seems that mentions of bread-knifing should be kept to a minimum!

    You know an Elvis...

Notice how the top of the lip dives down. Understand?

I'll post a pic tonight when I get batteries for the camera.
