Hey all,

I won 2 pieces on the bay.

#1 is a Muschel from Germany - looks carbon steel to me - no idea of the full condition of the blade but it was well under $15 so I thought, what the heck, beginner's practice model.

#2 is actually a very old Henckel with a PUMA box. Not sure that bevel is not smiling at me either, but we will see.

I plan on using sand paper and restoring the steel by hand following what others have suggested in posts and Wiki. If the scales are messed up thats a different story . . .
